Bong Revilla awed by ‘jolting’ welcome in Pampanga
Former Senator Bong Revilla on Tuesday received roaring applause and cheers from his supporters that almost blew off the auditorium of the Pampanga Provincial Capitol in San Fernando.
Upon his arrival at the official campaign kick-off of the senatorial line of Hugpong ng Pagbabago, Revilla was swarmed in by thousands of eager Kapampangans who wanted to shake hands, hug, and have photo ops with the seasoned legislator.
In his speech, Revilla expressed his jubilation over the warm reception accorded to him not only by Kapampangans but also by his fellow Filipinos from all over the country he has met during his sorties.
Revilla emphasized on his legislative accomplishments, where he was able to push for the passing of 230 bills into law. He has also filed 614 bills and 302 resolutions.
He also said that he maximized his mandate and “never fidgeted” during his term as a senator.
Furthermore, he also shared his non-legislative accomplishments, most of which are under the KAP program focuses on providing medical aid, educational assistance and relief operations among other top priority projects he has also undertaken.
As of this writing, the KAP program has helped 1.2 million patients, 22,000 scholars and almost 5,000,000 victims of natural and manmade calamities.
Revilla’s wife, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla, together with their children and close relatives, were in full force for him during the launch.
