REVILLA HAILS PBBM, BAGONG PILIPINAS SERBISYO FAIR FOR BRINGING GOVERNMENT CLOSER TO PEOPLE

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. lauded President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. and House Speaker Martin Romualdez for bringing government closer to the people as the two political leaders work hand in hand for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) caravan.

“Mapalad tayong lahat dahil mayroon tayong Pangulo at House Speaker na labis ang malasakit sa taong-bayan. Sa totoo lang, I have never seen this before. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng ganitong programa na diretso sa tao. Nasyonal na pamahalaan mismo ang bumababa at lumalapit direkta sa tao,” Revilla said.

Last Friday (March 22), Revilla joined Speaker Romualdez in an installment of the BPSF held in Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte where more than 30,000 beneficiaries received financial assistance including indigents, farmers, youth scholars, small business owners, among others. Aside from the cash aid, more than 200,000 kgs of rice was given to the said beneficiaries.

“Sobrang saya talaga makita yung ganon kadaming tao na natulungan. Kung tutuusin, hindi lang yon ang natulungan na ng programang ito. Nakapag-launch na rin ng Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair sa iba’t ibang lugar sa bansa. Imagine niyo na lang kung gaano na karami ang naabot nito,” Revilla shared.

The veteran lawmaker also pointed out the positive effect of the caravan to the sprucing up of the economies of the various localities, saying that in this post-COVID period, it is important for government to provide packages that will stimulate local economies.

“Kaya isang malaking karangalan talaga na maimbitahan at makasama sila sa paghahatid ng tulong. Congratulations again kay PBBM at kay Speaker Romualdez,” he added.

Revilla mentioned that the roll out of the BPSF program aims to reach all regions of the country and that more Filipinos will benefit from it.

The BPSF was launched by PBBM on September 23, 2023 and will be held in 82 provinces nationwide.

“Tuloy-tuloy ito. Marami pang pupuntahan. Marami pang dadalawing lalawigan. Pero iisa ang intensyon – ang maabot ang mga kababayan natin at dalin ang gobyerno nang mas malapit sa tao. Yan ang sigurado,” he closed. -30-
